Pack your layers, water, lunches, good shoes, cameras, and rock picks and meet at the High School Parking lot at 9 am on Saturday!
May 12th 9am-1pm- Gold Panning– sessions, questions and answers and photos several placer gold operations. Some gravels provided and technique on panning.
May 12th 1pm- Evening Trip past the Quartz veins from Norris Hill to Hot Springs creek at MT Highway 84 then back West to Norris on through Harrison, Sappington to river. Then west to placer operations near Lewis and Clark Caverns State Park. (Lunch). Then on past Golden Sunlight Mine to Silver Star Broadway mine. Back to Twin Bridges Claim area (gold silver mines and Aragonite (Onyx Marble claim). On to Virginia City Placer and on to Ennis.
May 19th– Ennis to Virginia City to Twin Bridges- Burma Road to Glena Home. Precambrian rocks through Cretaceous and recent, folds, faults, etc.
